    About the opportunity

    The Faculty of Health provides an innovative learning environment focused on health needs multidisciplinary client care, disease prevention, healthy lifestyles, and collaborating with Indigenous communities to create culturally appropriate care models. If offers a wide range of health-related fields of study, including nursing, midwifery, social work, biomedical science, clinical exercise physiology, diabetes management, naturopathic medicine, and more. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver high quality teaching, educational design, and delivery in line with policies, ensuring a learning-centred approach and incorporating emerging learning technologies across various delivery models.
Contribute to curriculum development and teaching within relevant disciplines, while engaging in the scholarship of teaching to enhance the student experience and reflect on professional practices Support the Faculty’s research profile through publications, grant applications, and active participation in research aligned with priorities, providing leadership and mentoring to early career researchers Foster collaboration internally and engage in community and professional activities that enhance the Faculty and University’s reputation, while supporting staff development Undertake administration duties, participate in Faculty meetings, and contribute to governance and leadership, including supervising undergraduate honours and HDR students as required.

About you

You will be passionate about student teaching and supporting student learning and have a keen interest in health research. More specifically, you will have:

A PhD in a relevant area related to Osteopathy Ideally 5+ years of professional experience as an Osteopath, with current unrestricted registration with AHPRA. Advanced practitioner titling in Paediatrics, Pain Management, Sports Management, or Exercise-based Rehabilitation Proven success in teaching and curriculum development at the tertiary level, with experience in accreditation processes being desirable Demonstrated expertise in using contemporary educational technologies for blended and online teaching, including interactive digital content delivery. A strong research track record, including publications in high-ranking journals, successful supervision of honours/higher degree research candidates, and leadership in teaching and research collaborations with industry partners. Additional Requirement at Level D: Successful record of academic leadership, including the ability to lead innovation and inspire excellence amongst colleagues Additional Requirement at Level E: National contributions and esteem as an Osteopath in Australia, through associations, committees, keynote presentations at conferences, or other Demonstrated success in research through successful grant applications

Salary and benefits

This is a full-time, continuing position at Academic level C, D, or E based at our Gold Coast campus. Generous relocation support is available. The level of appointment will be commensurate with the candidates’ qualifications, skills, and experience.

Academic Level C: $134,848 - $155,046 per annum, plus 17% employers contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $181,403. Academic Level D: $161,784 - $177,948 per annum, plus 17% employers contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $208,199. Academic Level E: $207,573 per annum, plus 17% employers contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $242,860.
