About the Role
In this exciting role, you will support the finance team with various accounting functions, including undertaking month end and year end accounting activities and supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions when required. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring accurate and efficient financial processes across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform regular accounting activities including processing journals, month-end reconciliations (including bank and general ledger), and generating reports.

Assist with budgeting forecasting, and variance analysis

Assist Accounts Payable functions when required, including providing cover for invoice processing, vendor management, and compliance during leave or other absences.

Assist Accounts Receivable functions when required, including providing cover for invoicing and assisting with Government funding claims during leave or other absences.

Support the Payroll function when required, including processing staff pays, leave calculations, and superannuation during leave or other absences.

Participate in annual external audits and provide ongoing finance support.

Update policies and procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
About You

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Qualification in Accounting (or nearing completion)

Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations

Solid communication skills, both written and verbal

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Problem solving skills

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to service excellence
Desirable Experience:

Experience working in a Finance team / accounting function

Accounting systems experience including Microsoft products
