Description:

  • Administration Position in the building and construction industry
  • Be the hub of administration for the business owner
  • Part Time position with flexible hours over 5 days for up to 25 hours per week
  • Pay award level offered in line with demonstrated experience

Essentials

  • Experience working face to face with company trades people in a busy environment
  • Have an empathic and caring phone manner with outstanding customer service
  • Able to allocate correct staff resources in a coordinated fashion to maximise labour assets in online calendar system
  • Basic bookkeeping skills with a detailed understanding of Xero platform required
  • Basic working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Have a working understanding of GST transactions and be able to coordinate with the company accountant for EOFY taxation lodgements
  • Have above average typing and data entry speeds for accurate and swift document processing
  • Be able to interpret technical terminology on trade job sheets and transpose into meaningful invoices to be sent to clients
  • Be able to price invoices as per policies and procedures
  • Input supplier invoices and correctly code
  • Prepare end of month suppliers batch payments to be handed off for bank processing by owner
  • Reconcile bank account and credit cards with effective document handling and filing structures of the current well-established system
  • Be able to prepare monthly IAS and quarterly BAS for lodgement and payment processing by the owner

Desirables

  • Background experience in the Air Conditioning or Electrical Trades
  • To have a great aptitude and persistence to follow up unpaid invoices
  • Be able to apply 2 modern awards for the processing of pays for up to 6 staff and advise the owner on their payroll responsibilities
  • Have knowledge and aptitude to prepare quarterly superannuation processing
  • Have the skills for onboarding new employees
  • Have knowledge of the TPAR system and annual lodgements
  • Able to place orders and accept deliveries for stock products
  • Prepare cash bank deposit and online EFTPOS transactions
  • Work closely with sales staff for coordination and follow up on sales leads from customer phone calls and service call activities
