Electrical Applications Engineer – Design, Commissioning and R&D. Competitive Salary + Car + Super

Ideally, you will be a skilled Applications Engineer, a licenced Electrical Mechanic with good controls and programming experience, or an Industrial Electrician with a desire for a future in design and control, seeking an applications/ technical engineering role.

Our project count has grown significantly, and our customer base continues to expand. Green Energy projects are on the increase. We're therefore seeking a skilled, positive, and motivated applications/technician engineer to join our team in Salisbury, Brisbane.

What You'll Be Doing

You will report to our Senior Applications Engineer. You will play a crucial role in the design, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) NOx abatement plants within Australia, and abroad. Further, you will also be designing and installing diesel fuel control systems, PLC controllers, and HMI interfaces to service power generation installations – both standby and prime power.

Here's a taste of what you'll get to do:

  • Immediate Training: Get started with hands-on training in Brisbane.

  • Design: Autocad, Electrical and Mechanical engineering

  • Research and Development (R&D)

  • Plant Commissioning: Ensure new plants meet OEM requirements and procedures.

  • Maintenance. System upkeep, site visits and remote access maintenance.

  • Product Development: Work alongside our Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) team on product development.

  • Key Account Management: Maintain service contracts and build rapport with clients.

  • Technical Sales Assistance: Provide support on new sales and proposals.


What We're Looking For

  • Essential: Electrical Trade Licence – Electrical Mechanic/Fitter.

  • Preferred: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

  • Preferred: Mechanical knowledge. General ability/understanding. Generator experience and exhaust system knowledge is a plus.

  • Preferred: Understanding of Diesel Fuel Systems and standards like AS1940 and AS1692.

  • Knowledge of, PLC and SCADA systems, including programming.

  • Bonus points if you have experience in Power Generation or Co/Tri generation.

  • Applicants who live or have the right to reside in Australia as a citizen/permanent resident only need apply.
