About the role
The Road Maintenance Program has the task of managing and delivering services to keep our road, drains and streets in excellent order. We undertake a large range of services such as the maintenance of sealed roads, gravel roads, drains, footpaths, litter, linemarking and street sweeping. To achieve this, the program has a high emphasis on safety culture in the workplace.
This role will see you as an interface between senior management and operational staff, therefore has a significant responsibility in influencing change. You will take responsibility for the management of oneself, the team and the individual's behaviour and performance.
With overall responsibility for coordinating road asset maintenance activities within the Road Maintenance Program, your technical ability will oversee successful planning, monitoring control of budgets and works programs, leadership experience in change management will be highly regarded.
The successful applicant will already be aligned to our organisational values and want to strive to deliver excellent results for the community. You will have strong background in staff management, contemporary practices in road asset civil engineering and contract management.
Skills & Qualifications
- 'C' class drivers' licence
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with strong road asset management experience
- RPEQ or eligibility to obtain registration
- Possession of 30215 QLD – General Safety Induction Card (White Card)
- Ability to provide satisfactory results for all employment-related background checks inclusive of (Police, Employment References, Qualifications and Working rights)
