We now have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to join our dynamic team in the College of Healthcare Sciences as a Senior Lecturer in Nursing and Midwifery.
- Full-time, continuing role
- Located at the picturesque Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas in tropical North Queensland
- Academic Level C: $129,607 - $148,787 per annum plus 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Based at our state-of-the-art clinical teaching facilities in Townsville, you will contribute to the development, coordination and delivery of Nursing and Midwifery curriculum, with a particular focus on Midwifery, providing innovative learning activities and assessments that promote engaging learning activities for a diverse range of students. You will be responsible for delivering face-to-face and online lectures, tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, seminars, and clinical sessions, while also playing a key role in scholarship and research activities in the field of Midwifery.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Postgraduate qualification and current AHPRA registration as a Midwife
- Experience in teaching, learning, and curriculum development
- Flexible approach to both blended and online delivery
- Ability to address unique challenges in tropical, regional, remote, rural, and Indigenous Midwifery education
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and communities
- Commitment to creating inclusive and culturally responsive learning environments
