THE LAKES COLLEGE MUSIC PROGRAM
The Lakes College Music program offers rigorous instrumental and vocal tuition to students at the College and supports extra-curricular ensembles and music curriculum classes.
Music Studio helps students identify and follow their musical pathways both during and beyond their time at the College. Music Studio provide students to develop their identify through creative self-expression.
2026 will see the opening of purpose-built performing art spaces within our thriving College community.
THE ROLE
We are currently seeking to engage an Instrumental Music Tutor (Woodwind) | Ensemble Conductor (Concert Band) Tutors to commence in Week 2 of Term 2 (28 April) to provide private and small group tuition through our Music Studio.
The successful candidate must be able to lead a Secondary Concert band (Symphonic Winds) with some flexibility available around the scheduling for this band.
Applicants will be passionate about music tuition and demonstrate a willingness to participate in the continued growth and success of the College Music Studio, Ensembles and Instrumental Immersion Programs across both the primary and secondary sub schools.
Candidates must also be relational and show a commitment to fostering and maintaining student engagement with the College Music Program as students transition between primary and secondary.
Music Studio as an extracurricular offering at the College must also intersect with and support the Music Curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates to grow professionally within an inclusive and thriving school community, knowing that they will also have impact and influence over the continued growth of the College Music Studio and Ensemble Programs.
A working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of programs (word, excel, outlook, SharePoint, etc.) is required along with the ability to learn and navigate College IT systems and programs for student attendance and reporting records.
This position is currently set at one day per week , with exact hours dependent on the successful candidate's availability and student enrolments.
