Safe Space – Casual
Missiondale – Casual
City Mission are seeking compassionate support workers to join our workforce across various services in the North including:
-
Safe Space Launceston began from a statewide partnership with other organisations and Homes Tas, providing a dedicated, 24/7 facility for people sleeping rough in the community. Currently the service provides 33 beds for men and women and a day space for those staying overnight and others in the community. People have access to food, showers and laundry services, as well as opportunities for social interaction and the ability to connect with support services.
-
Orana House provides crisis and transitional accommodation options for men over the age of 21. Staff provide a supportive environment for those men who, for many reasons, are unable to find accommodation elsewhere. A crisis accommodation service for fathers with children or couples with children is also attached to the property.
-
Missiondale provides a supportive environment for people engaging in long-term recovery from substance use issues in a Therapeutic Community setting. Missiondale is set on a peaceful 25 acres outside of Evandale and is funded for 34 beds, delivering a six-month program. The program includes individual and group therapy, skills development, case management and clinical support. Clients who enter Missiondale have completed their detox or withdrawal period elsewhere prior to admission.
Note: Please specify the service you are applying to or feel free to apply for all three services.
All services operate 24/7 and include weekend, afternoon and overnight shifts. The overnight shifts at Missiondale are sleepovers.
