  • Part time (0.5 FTE), Fixed-Term contract
  • Lead role in restoring and protecting a key waterway in the iconic Adelaide Hills, working with passionate biodiversity experts in a flexible and supportive Council.

The role will focus on the coordination and implementation of the Cox Creek Bridgewater Restoration Project funded by the Australian Government’s Natural Heritage Trust under the Urban Rivers and Catchments Program, with the support of Council and stakeholders.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in an area related to environmental, conservation or biodiversity management (desirable qualification), or equivalent experience.
  • Sound knowledge of environmental issues, watercourse management and native and exotic flora of the Mount Lofty Ranges.
  • A strong track record delivering large multi-faceted projects
  • Excellent reporting skills and knowledge of GIS spatial programs
  • Well-developed communication skills and proactive attitude to build positive relationships and ensure priorities and deadlines are met.

This is a prescribed position. As part of Adelaide Hills Council’s Safe Environments Policy, a current Working with Children Check, and undertaking Child Safe Environment Training every three years, are requirements of the position.
