We are looking for an Accounts Officer to join our growing team!

About Insurance Claim Rentals (ICR):

ICRis an innovative, fast-growing, and market-leading insurance industry service provider, offering short and long-term temporary accommodation options for Policy Holders across Australia.

About you:

The ideal candidate will have previous work experience in accounts and has experience in accounts receivable and payable transactions, reviewing and reconciling transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and troubleshooting financial discrepancies.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes.

  • Knowledge of financial reconciliation and reporting .

  • Familiarity with administrative and financial procedures in a corporate setting.

  • Proficiency in financial software and accounting tools (such as Xero or equivalent).

  • Prior experience in an accounts officer, finance assistant, or bookkeeping role.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Numeracy Skills: Strong ability to work with numbers, reconcile accounts, and process transactions accurately.

  • Time Management & Organisation: Ability to meet deadlines and efficiently manage workflow, whilst multi-tasking, and adapting to changing priorities.

  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in financial reports and reconciliation.

  • Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving: Identifying discrepancies, troubleshooting issues, and implementing logical solutions.

  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to articulate financial information accurately, draft detailed reports, and respond to inquiries. Strong active listening and negotiation skills to resolve discrepancies, address concerns, and maintain positive relationships.

  • Confidentiality & Professionalism: Handling sensitive financial data with discretion and upholds professionalism in all interactions.

  • Initiative & Independence: Ability to work proactively and independently, while escalating issues when necessary.

  • Team Collaboration: Working effectively with colleagues and contributing to office productivity.
