About the role
We are seeking a dedicated First Nations individual to join our Employment Services team as a First Nations Specialist Consultant. As the First Nations Specialist Consultant, you will work with Multiple Solutions clients identified as First Nations, to provide lived experience support and relevant cultural referrals, while working to an employment outcome, either as the case manager or alongside a case manager.
You will actively monitor suitable positions and liaise with potential employers to create suitable work experience and employment for First Nations clients. You might also be required to liaise with current employers of a First Nations person to provide advice and support for retention of the participants employment.
To be considered for this position we are looking for someone with the following attributes.
- A sound knowledge of barriers faced by First Nations workers and people with disabilities when seeking employment.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience in developing and maintaining networks and partnerships.
- Well-developed problem solving and time management skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Ownership of a currently registered and insured motor vehicle and a current valid driver's licence.
Experience in the First Nations space is not essential, but desirable. We are looking for a positive, performance-driven team member who is passionate about making a difference in people’s lives. If you feel you have these attributes, we are keen to meet you.
A cleared Working with Children Check and National Police Check will also be required prior to commencement in accordance with the Child Safety (Prohibited Persons) Act 2016 (SA).
