The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic machine operator who wants to continuously improve and push our technology to its full potential. Experience preferred but not required.
You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of laser cutting machines having the opportunity to work with both our flat bed and tube laser.
You will have a variety of jobs each day and will be expected to use initiative, prioritise work and complete the setup of the machine in a fast turnaround time.
Successful applicant will be made permanent after 6 months probationary period.
Duties include:
- Load raw material onto the machines
- Load programs and set parameters as required
- Maintain nozzles, lenses and equipment in good working order
- Carry out preventative maintenance
- Packing laser cut parts
- Maintain good housekeeping around the workstation
The ideal candidate has:
- Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings
- Understanding of the manufacturing industry
- Ability to multi-task
- Time management to meet deadlines and achieve accuracy without sacrificing quality
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Current forklift licence
