A bit about the role
In this role, you are required to construct and maintain infrastructure assets under the management control of the City of Casey.
What you’ll deliver
- Operate and maintain various plant and equipment associated with civil infrastructure operations as required and in line with licence requirements.
- Ensure all work including the operation and maintenance of plant and equipment is carried out in a safe manner following correct safety procedures and requirements in keeping with OH&S principles.
- Provide general information, support, guidance, and technical advice as required to residents, visitors, volunteers &/or contractors.
- Anticipate problems or opportunities and take immediate action to address them.
- Set high standards of performance, quality and accountability for oneself and others.
- That the staff member contributes positively towards the Infrastructure and Open Space department.
What you’ll bring
- Structured training to one or more of the following levels: trade certificate or equivalent, completion of TAFE accredited/industry-based training courses.
- Current Australian Truck Driver’s license.
- Valid Victorian traffic control and traffic management certification
- Valid White Card OH&S industry induction
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, Functional Assessment.
