A bit about the role

In this role, you are required to construct and maintain infrastructure assets under the management control of the City of Casey.

What you’ll deliver

  • Operate and maintain various plant and equipment associated with civil infrastructure operations as required and in line with licence requirements.
  • Ensure all work including the operation and maintenance of plant and equipment is carried out in a safe manner following correct safety procedures and requirements in keeping with OH&S principles.
  • Provide general information, support, guidance, and technical advice as required to residents, visitors, volunteers &/or contractors.
  • Anticipate problems or opportunities and take immediate action to address them.
  • Set high standards of performance, quality and accountability for oneself and others.
  • That the staff member contributes positively towards the Infrastructure and Open Space department.

What you’ll bring

  • Structured training to one or more of the following levels: trade certificate or equivalent, completion of TAFE accredited/industry-based training courses.
  • Current Australian Truck Driver’s license.
  • Valid Victorian traffic control and traffic management certification
  • Valid White Card OH&S industry induction
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, Functional Assessment.
  • A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset.
