About the opportunity
As our Retail Postage Sorter , you’ll play an important part in keeping millions of Australians connected. As you’d expect, plenty of mail comes through our Post Offices and delivery facilities every day – and our mail sorting teams make sure every delivery gets where it needs to.
Role Details:
- Casual Position | "On Call" after training your roster will include a mix of both scheduled and unscheduled shifts, Monday to Friday, between 8:45 a.m. and 5:06 p.m.
- Extensive, supportive full time (paid) training for 2 weeks on commencement, Monday - Friday, 8:45 am - 5:06 pm
- Loaded casual rate $33.13 / hour increases to $35.42 / hour after 3 months, + 12% Superannuation
- Junior rates apply for those under 21 during training
You’ll be:
- Manually sorting all mail arriving at the workplace
- Sorting and distributing mail into relevant PO Boxes
- Assisting and/or performing administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance
About you
You’re friendly, enthusiastic and reliable and you love the balance of working in a team environment and autonomously. You’re motivated by the opportunity to help make a difference to your community. You'll also need to:
- Call upon your memory and hand-eye coordination while sorting
- Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail regularly and stand for your shift
