An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join our Sports, Irrigation and Assets Team to help enhance and maintain the city’s open space.
The Supervisor Parks Assets is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day works of the Parks assets team coving jobs such as routine maintenance, repairs, inspections and assets audits on items such as park furniture, playgrounds and fences in councils open space areas.
What you’ll be working on
- Ensuring that all works are carried out safely and to a high standard.
- Coordinating repairs and routine maintenance of assets and act on/report observed situations requiring maintenance attention.
- Conducting an reviewing audits on playgrounds.
- Arranging quotes an ordering materials for works.
- Delivering capital works projects.
- Processing payments and authorise works within limits of delegation.
- Responding to internal and external enquiries regarding Hobsons Bay City Councils open space management.
What you need to succeed
- Tertiary Qualification in Landscaping or Construction or relevant on the job experience in landscape practices or building construction with broad technical knowledge.
- Hold a current Victorian Driver’s License with medium rigid truck endorsement.
- Proficient in use of hand tools.
- Chainsaw certificate and First Aid Certificate is desirable.
