National Service Leadership Opportunity
Are you ready to join Australia's leading independent industrial automation and control systems integrator? Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this senior leadership role is responsible for the national portfolio of Service Contracts and our NOC (National Operations Centre). You'll be accountable for converting and maintaining a pipeline of new business opportunities from existing accounts as well as expanding the portfolio into new markets - instrumental in our growth strategy.
As Head of Service, you'll ensure a system of continuous review and improvement is embedded within the Service Department, overseeing the optimisation of Service Contract performance through effective governance and delivery of focused improvement plans. You'll ensure all services delivered are industry best practice and aligned with technical, quality and safety standards. As a senior leader, you'll provide direction, guidance and development to more than 140 highly skilled service and NOC employees, collaborate across the business, and represent SAGE in the market.
In this role, you will:
- Establish clear direction and expectations for the Service function nationally, ensuring the team are well equipped to deliver
- Develop and implement a national service strategy for future targets, markets and innovations
- Manage the Service function national P&L including budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Develop and maintain pricing structures, SLA Pricing Plans
- Optimise existing service contracts through focused improvement plans
- Cultivate new business relationships to identify growth opportunities
- Negotiate national supplier agreements for parts and equipment
- Collaborate with the Head of Commercial on tenders and service transitions
- Develop a strong team, ensure succession planning is in place with appropriate training plans and a pipeline of future talent

About you:
We're seeking an accomplished professional with deep industry knowledge and proven leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate brings:
- An Electrical Trade qualification or Engineering degree (Desirable)
- Minimum 10 years' experience in senior management within the automation industry
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated ability to drive revenue and manage costs
- Commercial astuteness with excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proven leadership experience managing diverse teams in complex environments
- Strategic thinking and planning capabilities aligned with business objectives
- Deep understanding of operational effectiveness and process improvement
