This position is based in Brisbane and flexible arrangements can be considered upon application. This includes working from home options and working remotely at a Regional QBCC office subject to availability.

Key Outcomes and Accountabilities

  • In consultation with relevant stakeholders, lead the development of the QBCC's project, program and portfolio management (P3M) processes and tools to support the QBCC to deliver projects while ensuring integration and alignment with existing organisational practices.
  • Lead the enterprise portfolio prioritisation process by supporting stakeholders with procedures, tools and guidance to determine organisational investment priorities against strategic objectives
  • Provide expert guidance to SLT, SRO's and the Portfolio Steering Committee on P3M best practices while championing P3M capability uplift across the organisation
  • Develop and implement strategies for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of the enterprise portfolio including regular reporting of risk, financials, key milestones, assurance activities. This further involves the provision of key insights to stakeholders and committees on emerging issues and recommendations

Candidate Attributes

  • Demonstrated portfolio management experience and proven ability to successfully drive, coordinate and implement an enterprise portfolio using a collaborative, transparent, contemporary approach. Extensive experience in business partnering and the provision of bespoke tools and advice.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, interpersonal, and communications skills (both written and verbal). Ability to communicate and elicit cooperation at all levels, including technical staff, management, and external parties. Excellent negotiation, report writing and presentation skills. Persuasive, encouraging and motivating.
  • Possess well developed time management skills and demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and a diverse range of activities, with conflicting priorities, and meet deadlines. Ability to drive meetings and effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Motivates individuals and creates a culture where people want to ‘go the extra mile'. Focuses strongly on the achievement of results, and builds a cohesive and supportive team environment. Experienced in people and team management and can work independently and/or in a team-orientated.
