Description:
The Electrical Engineer will have the following responsibility:
- Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians.
- Providing technical advice and engineering support to operations and maintenance teams.
- Managing and assisting with Opex and Capex projects, including project scope development, budgeting, capital requests, and site installation management.
- Developing scope of works for contractors and conducting engineering reviews of technical issues.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to electrical systems and equipment reliability.
- Developing equipment lifecycle management strategies.
- Conducting failure investigations and plant performance analysis to optimize operations.
- Maintaining records of transformer and HV breaker inspections.
Requirements:
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with the following qualifications and experience:
Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in heavy industrial processing environments.
- Proven experience in project delivery from concept to execution.
- Experience in maintaining HV and LV distribution systems and switchgear.
- Knowledge of replacing/upgrading obsolete electrical equipment.
Highly Desirable:
- Qualifications in project management.
- Experience in maintenance and asset management strategies.
- Experience in continuous production plants.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency projects and their implementation.
