This role is with a well-established accounting firm known for excellence in providing comprehensive business services to a diverse range of clients. Their team is dedicated to delivering exceptional results and fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
The Role
As a Business Services Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a team of accountants and juniors. Your responsibilities will include overseeing client relationships, financial reporting, tax compliance, and strategic business advisory services. You will work closely with partners and senior management to drive growth and deliver high-quality solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients and build strong relationships based on trust and expertise
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support in achieving business objectives
- Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and compliance documents to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction
- Collaborate with partners and senior management on business development initiatives and strategic planning
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and changes in accounting standards to provide proactive advice to clients
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (CPA/CA qualification preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on business services and taxation
- Proven track record in managing client relationships and delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Excel)
