Job DescriptionAbout the Role
As a QA Inspector, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of mechanical and pipeline projects across the Cooper Basin. This position is based on-site at the Santos Project, working a FIFO rotational roster (3 weeks on, 2 weeks off roster).
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Oversee all welding activities for the project. Ensuring compliance with all WPS, WPQR, Client & Code requirements & compiling of all associated documentation.
- Liaise with NDT Contractors’ and review all documentation.
- Oversee all coating activities carried out on site in line with Client & Code requirements. Carry out coating inspection as required.
- Validating and controlling all quality records for the project.
- Conducting internal audits to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Ensuring compliance of the quality management process to the highest standard.
About You
To be successful in this role you must hold the following traits, skills and qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role in the Oil, Gas and Energy sector.
- Australian recognised Trade Qualification in heavy fabrication (Boilermaker/Welder).
- Welding Inspection Qualification – CSWIP 3.1 or IIW IWI-B as a minimum (AS1796 Certificate 10 advantageous).
- NACE Level 1 Coating Inspection as a minimum (NACE Level 2 advantageous).
- Experience with FIC & MDR documentation compilation.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and set priorities effectively.
- Be flexible and adaptive to change.
