Lead the development of Social Work services across CQ Health, through supporting the delivery of evidence-based, patient centred care as the Social Work Director until November 2025.
You will apply high level knowledge and skills across a variety of clinical settings to deliver clinical care and provide clinical support to a range of Social Workers and multi-disciplinary team members across CQ, while developing, implementing, and reviewing service models for Social Work and provide profession specific advice regarding development and review of service models.

About the role:
- Provide professional leadership, operational management, strategic direction, evaluation and advocacy, as well as professional and clinical governance of Social Work services and staff, across Central Queensland Health (CQ Health).
- This position reports operationally to the Director Allied Health – Sub-Acute (Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast and Mount Morgan) and professionally to the Executive Director Allied Health.
- All Social Workers employed in HP positions within CQ Health professionally report to this position.
About you:
- The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Social Work).
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association.
- While not mandatory, a postgraduate qualification consistent with a senior leadership role is highly desirable.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $14,385 p.m. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $73.12 - $76.30 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
