The Role
Working with a committed group of professionals, in this role you will be working full time and responsible for providing Level 2/3 technical assistance to maintain ICT infrastructure for multiple clients in different locations, majority of them based in Sutherland Shire. To be successful in this role, you will require knowledge and experience in the installation, support and maintenance of small to medium business networks, cloud services and an understanding of managed service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing remote and onsite support to clients; handle escalations and assist other IT team members
- Conducting analyses and assessments of organizational system architecture and suggesting current and future hardware and software strategies and orientations
- Ensuring awareness of and adherence to standards, processes, and quality control concerns and activities by communicating, educating, and coordinating with users and management teams
- Troubleshoot any issues related to Microsoft 365 Applications such as Outlook, OneDrive and Exchange Online
- Support clients using Azure Active Directory, Domain Controller, creating and assign group policy to proper organizational unit and adding users accordingly
- Migration of local data to the Cloud, as well as updating the SharePoint Communication Site with new information
- Configuration of routers and solve complex networking issues
- Working with Esxi and Hyper-V technologies to develop virtual machines under the supervision of seniors in the department
- Enrol android, apple and windows devices using Intune
- Preparing and updating technical documentation, including maintenance inventory systems, procedural, instructional, and operational guidelines, and manuals
- Remote / Phone / Onsite support to resolve hardware / software / printing / scanning / network related issues for Windows & Mac environments
- Network Troubleshooting: VPN, RDP, DHCP, DNS
- Router / Firewall / Wireless Access Point installation & configuration
- Windows Server: troubleshooting, migration, Active Directory User Account Management
- Office 365 Administration; Management of Remote Monitoring & Management Portal
- Troubleshooting & Monitoring of Windows Server Backups
- Configure and install personal computers, mobile devices, software, printers and peripheral equipment
- Maintaining documentation of client site details and login credentials
- Identify defects and recommend improvements to enhance system performance, security, and functionality.
- Identify and diagnose functionality errors and faults in systems and programming code, ensuring compliance with testing protocols and quality standards.
About You
As a key member of our team, it is essential that you are well presented and possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills, along with a technically strong skill set.
- Full time working rights; right to drive and a car is required to travel to the sites (plenty of off-street Parking is available). Role is 70% office based, 30% onsite
- Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving & troubleshooting skills and in-depth knowledge of computer hardware and related software
- Experience in assisting and/or leading the IT projects, including upgrades and deployments of new technologies
- Experience in installing and troubleshooting Internet technologies
- Effective oral and written communication with a history of discussing and solving issues with technical and non-technical individuals
- Experience with cloud hosted systems (Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Google G Suite)
- Experience with virtualisation technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Experience on Windows Server, Windows Client, Active Directory and, or Azure Active Directory Administration
- Strong understanding and experience with TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, Routing, Firewall Security, Wireless solutions
- Ability to work independently & effectively in a team environment
Selection Criteria
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in an MSP supporting small businesses is mandatory to be considered for this position
- Excellent (spoken and written) English skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in Australia
- Soft Skills needed: Super-organised, pay attention to detail, strong customer service focus, have advanced analytical & troubleshooting skills, presentable and energetic team player, ability to multitask & manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must know how to manage Client Expectations and build Rapport with clients
