The Opportunity
The Planning and Performance Lead is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for the critical and complex planning and delivery of effective public transport services across South Australia. This includes leading the delivery of consultation, advice, and guidance to internal and external stakeholders, which contributes significantly to the positive planning, representation, performance management and promotion of public transport.
This role oversees the team responsible for the planning, coordination, rostering, timetabling and performance management of public transport services. The position provides expert public transport planning advice, leveraging available data, experience, and industry information to internal and external stakeholders to support business activities and effective decision making in relation to network performance, project delivery and contract management.

Qualifications/Experience
- Previous experience within public transport operations environment is desirable.
- Tertiary qualifications or post graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline will be highly regarded.
Special Conditions
Prior to employment with the Department the successful candidate will be required to provide:
- A National Police Check (NPC) which must be renewed every three years.
- A Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (WWCC) which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
Tenure of Vacancy
Temporary appointment up to 14 months.
Remuneration
ASO8 - $121,107 to $125,679 pa + superannuation.
