Regional Worker Housing Specialist – Hume
- Salary: $109,730 - $132,764 (Plus Superannuation)
- Fixed term: Until 30 June 2026
- Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)
- Usual work location: Shepparton, Wangaratta, or Wodonga (flexibility may be available)
The Role
Reporting to the Manager Regional Coordination, the Regional Worker Housing Specialist will play a key role in supporting the design, coordination, delivery and legacy of the Victorian Governments $2 billion Regional Package, with a focus on providing new housing options for regional communities.
The position will work closely with the Regional Package team in the Place based Strategy, Insights and Coordination branch, across RDV, the broader Department and with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Key accountabilities include:
- Support the design, coordination, delivery and legacy of the Victorian Government's Regional Package implementation within the Hume region, with a focus on supporting Regional Worker Housing initiatives.
- Create and prepare high quality, well researched correspondence, reports, submissions and briefings with clear and concise recommendations.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across DJSIR, Victorian and Commonwealth agencies, local government and other key stakeholders as required.
The Team
The position of Regional Worker Housing Specialist forms a part of the Place based Strategy, Insights and Coordination branch in within the Regional Development Victoria Group.
The group works with businesses, communities and across government to deliver economic growth, create jobs, build resilience, and support economic recovery in our regions.
The branch delivers the evidence base and policy platform to influence regional economic outcomes across government and support high quality program delivery in partnership with RDV and other groups and departments.
About You
The position is well suited to a highly motivated individual with a track record in community, housing or industry development. The successful applicant will be results-oriented, highly motivated and enjoy building and developing effective client relationships. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and attention to detail are vital to this role.
