About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Clinical Practice Development Unit (CPDU) team as a Midwife Consultant This role involves leading a range of evidence-based research and practice development activities to enhance service provision across WCHN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clinical staff to drive strategic and clinically focused practice development projects, ensuring identification, implementation, and evaluation of cutting-edge initiatives.
  • Foster strong partnerships with region wide WCHN Hospital and Community Staff, University Staff, and collaborative partners, promoting research and practice development that elevates patient care.
  • Support Nurses and Midwives to pursue external professional development opportunities by initiating, designing, developing, and submitting compelling Nursing/Midwifery grant and scholarship applications in collaboration with clinical experts.
  • Conduct comprehensive literature searches, leveraging traditional and modern research methods, to reinforce evidence-based practice and maintain a competitive edge in patient care delivery.
