We are looking for an innovative thinker to join the team based at Cannon Hill for a temporary contract until December 2025.
About The Role
You will play a pivotal role, conducting specific and detailed research and analysis of business continuous improvement ideas, consulting with the broader organisation to understand operational needs, provide recommendations and expert advice on solutions regarding data and systems. You will develop and understand the strategic direction and operational challenges of the organisation and establish ways to enhance business capabilities and contribute to the improvement of analysis methodologies by developing and maintaining project artefacts.
Duties And Skills Involved
- Experience engaging with a range of stakeholders and market leaders to gather information and ideas to understand the issues faced by QBuild and the construction and maintenance sector.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings, recommendations, and potential solutions in an organised and structured way to senior management that aligns with the organisational goals and values.
- Proven ability to adopt a strategic and innovative perspective to solving business problems, through thorough research on emerging technologies and solutions, as well as identifying simpler solutions when required to improve business processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in using business analysis techniques to successfully provide recommendations for business improvements, particularly in the practices of information technology, business processes, systems, and data.
- Demonstrated self-direction and ability to work flexibly without supervision, demonstrating judgement about when to take initiative and when to escalate issues.
While not mandatory, our ideal candidate will have a strong interest in emerging technologies and experience or qualifications in one or more of the following areas:
- Business Analysis/Information Technology Qualification (e.g. Information Systems or similar)
- Knowledge and expertise in areas, such as business process improvement, business intelligence, enterprise systems, IoT and mobile technologies, and data science.
- Project management or improvement methodologies.
