About Us:

Our client is a national construction company specialising in retail, commercial, industrial builds and refurbs. They have a very strong brand in the Australian construction market and are growing their team.

Position Overview:

With a strong pipeline of current and future projects we are seeking a CA to join the team. You will be working closely with a Project Manager on commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contractual details, including specifications, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare and issue contract change proposals and amendments.
  • Participate in preconstruction activities, providing insights and expertise during the planning stages.
  • Respond to customer requests for proposals and prepare RFTs for potential subcontractors.
  • Monitor compliance with contract requirements and ensure all conditions are satisfied.
  • Manage subcontractors to ensure project targets and key milestones are achieved.
  • Estimate variations and prepare relevant documentation for approval.
  • Maintain accurate records of all contract correspondence and versions using Procore software.
  • Conduct meetings with contractors regarding contractual issues, as requested by the Project Manager.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management and clients detailing project status, expenditures, and progress.
  • Review trade compliance agreements and assist in planning equipment and resource requirements for projects.
  • Evaluate and report any changes to project schedules, updating timelines accordingly.
  • Collaborate closely with the construction team to achieve KPIs and promote a positive team culture.
  • Conduct WHS risk assessments and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience as a Contracts Administrator in the Australian construction sector.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and excellent communication skills.
  • Confident with contract management software (Procore experience preferred)
