The Information Services Directorate sits within the People and Corporate Services Division and provides integral services in the information and communication technology space to the entire Department. Information Services partner with our customers and stakeholders to support and drive the development of innovative, digital, and customer-focused outcomes and services.
The Opportunity
The Configuration Officer position resides within the Service Delivery Unit of the Information Services Directorate and contributes to the ongoing stability of IT services and the effective provision of a wide range of critical support activities.
The role collaborates across the directorate and third party providers to initiate, track and progress service improvement and corrective actions. The role ensures that a complete, accurate and reliable configuration management system is maintained and regularly verified, as well as ensuring status accounting is undertaken for all IT assets.
The role is responsible for the data integrity of all ICT assets and monthly ICT asset and financial audit reporting.
The role provides advice and assistance in all matters related to software licensing and undertakes regular auditing and remedial action to manage license compliance.
The role involves purchasing IT assets and managing all configuration items in the CMDB, including PC and infrastructure hardware, software and licenses, cloud resources, mobile devices, and telecommunication assets.

Qualifications
ITIL Qualifications desirable.
Special Conditions
The successful candidate will be required to provide a National Police Check (NPC) prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
Tenure of Vacancy
Temporary appointment up to 12 months.
Remuneration
ASO4 - $76,561 to $80,256 pa + superannuation.
