You will be responsible for identifying, undertaking and project managing the implementation of significant procurement initiatives, putting in place transparent benefits realisation reporting and for ensuring that robust contractual arrangements are executed that ensure benefits are fully realised. The Category Manager provides guidance and support to their team and acts as a point of escalation for the team in complex supplier and contract issues.
What you will do:
- Lead the design, development and implementation of category management and procurement strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders that deliver long-term value and benefits to the organisation.
- Manage and coordinate category reporting, ensuring it is accurate and delivered on time.
- Lead and deliver procurement initiatives within the timeframes published in the category's Forward Procurement Schedule.
- Identify and socialise potential procurement opportunities and solutions with suppliers and customers, working closely with them to support and inform state-wide strategies and priorities.
