About the role

Permanent full time opportunity to develop, implement, maintain and communicate effective engagement management processes, and procedures consistent with Department of Health (DoH) and Metro North Executive direction for the management of medical employment engagement arrangements for all Senior Medical Officers and Visiting Medical Officers (SMOs and VMOs) employed by Metro North Health (MNH).

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide high level operational, technical and tactical advice on Senior Medical engagements to the MNH Chief Medical Officer, the MNH Deputy Chief Medical Officer, the Manager, Medical Workforce Services, Assistant Manager Medical Workforce Services and Medical Workforce Units across MNH.
  • Ensure SMO and VMO engagement arrangements meet the requirements of Legislative and Industrial instruments including relevant National Standards, Acts of Parliament, Public Sector Commission and Queensland Health directives and Queensland Health and MNH Policies procedures and guidelines including confidentiality and record keeping.
  • Provide support to medical education functions across the continuum of medical education and training in MNH and assist the Manager, Medical Workforce Service to identify priorities to develop, implement and maintain quality improvement strategies.
