About the role
The primary focus of the position is to deliver park services together with the Ranger Team Leader and Rangers. The Ranger Field Service will undertake activities requiring a level of environmental and service expertise. A snapshot of works this role will be undertaking on a day to day basis: Park facility maintenance, walking track clearing, fencing, sign installation, inspecting the infrastructure in visitor sites, planning for road repairs, delivering work orders, looking after plant and equipment and pest plant and animal control.

We're looking for someone with:
• Demonstrated practical skills in the maintenance and operation of machinery, small equipment and tools.
• Demonstrated skills in the maintenance and construction of a range of park facilities, including, signs, campgrounds, fences and walking tracks.
• Trade related skills.
• Demonstrated experience in self-management
• Demonstrated experience in customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• The incumbent must be available to work weekends and public holidays if required.
• A tertiary qualification in Certificate or Diploma in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management and/or equivalent experience in a similar field is preferable.
