About the role

This role contributes to the success of the City by leading the Community Engagement function to provide expert advice on, and to undertake, community engagement across the City of Hobart based on the City’s Community Engagement Policy and Framework.

Role accountabilities include:

  • Work with Project Managers across the organisation in a leadership role.
  • Undertake community and stakeholder engagement for a broad range of projects.
  • Lead the Community Engagement function, including supervision of two Community Engagement Officers.
  • Work closely with the Communications and Marketing team to promote engagement opportunities to the community.

About you

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant discipline coupled with significant experience in community engagement practices. A current Drivers Licence and a Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Card are also required.
