Fig Tree Pocket State School is located on five hectares of beautiful grounds in the leafy green western suburb of Brisbane. We are a co-educational primary school from Prep to Year 6 with current enrolments of 478.

Fig Tree Pocket State School is looking for a cleaner to commence asap to join our current team of five. We are seeking applications from motivated persons with an eye for details and takes pride in their work. The successful applicant will be engaged in single or split shifts with start and finishing times varying from 4:30am and finishing as late as 8:15pm. The is a Permanent Part-time position (0.23FTE), 17.30 hours per fortnight. Applicants must hold a current valid "P" Blue card.

About The Role

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Cleaning windows, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, desks, chairs, carpeted and non carpeted areas, amenities;
  • Cobweb and mildew control, utilising extendable equipment as necessary;
  • Cleaning of concerete, bitumen, aritifical turf and paved surfaces;
  • Dispoal of rubbish and litter control including removal of material from drains and gutters between surrounding buildings;


Must be available work one week of each school holiday term break;

Previous experience as a school cleaner would be advantageous but is not a requirement.
