About the Role:
European Energy Australia is seeking a skilled and driven Lead Transaction Manager, M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) and Project Financing to help grow our operations in Australia. This full-time position involves identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic M&A transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, and mergers, to accelerate European Energy's growth and expansion in the Australian market.
Core Duties:
- Strategic M&A: Identify, evaluate, and execute acquisitions, mergers, and divestitures to support European Energy’s expansion in the Australian market.
- Project Financing: Secure a range of financing solutions, including debt, equity, and project finance, for renewable energy projects.
- Due Diligence: Lead thorough due diligence processes, assessing technical, financial, legal, and regulatory risks.
- Deal Structuring: Structure complex transactions, negotiate key terms, and manage all legal and financial aspects of deals.
- Financial Analysis: Develop robust financial models to evaluate the viability of M&A transactions and project investments.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, government officials, and community representatives.
Requirements for the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in M&A, project financing, or renewable energy project development.
- Proven expertise in financial modelling, due diligence, and structuring complex transactions.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects and build lasting partnerships with stakeholders.
