Dispatch Warehouse Operative-Team Lead

Description:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious LF Forklift Operators to join the team. The ideal person will be responsible for operating a stand-up, order-picker forklift to efficiently move, stack, and retrieve products within our warehouse or distribution center, accurately and efficiently pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring customers receive their products in pristine condition.
The successful candidate must have the following:

  • Valid LF Certification.
  • High reach forklift expereince.
  • RF scanner experience
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution role.
  • Labelling and consignment experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in picking and packing orders.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
  • Must be able to lift 20kg.

Role requirements:

  • Create picking slips, delivery dockets and paperwork for dispatching equipment and goods
  • Quality checking for damage and any discrepancies between goods and invoices, liaise with
    stakeholder when damage goods are identified
  • Communicate with Customer Service on dispatching of goods and any delays.
  • Participate in inventory (cycle counts quarterly and ensure that part numbers are relevant and
    maintained in stock location in the store)
  • Achieves and maintains order picking targets to set guidelines
  • Supervises and assists in the timely despatch of goods, including achieving DIFOT targets
  • Process delivery manifests appropriate to each run as required
  • Organises maintenance of forklifts
  • Support the Induction of employees, Labour Hire personal & Contractors as per procedures
  • Participate in all Safety Checklists are being completions and sign offs
  • Carry out Workplace inspections
  • Ensuring all company policies and procedures are followed, including conducting safety meetings /
    PM Toolbox talks
  • Book, schedule and manage freight for equipment to be dispatched providing an ETA for clients as
    required
  • Warehouse Supervisor as required.
