Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Locum Speech Pathologist for a 12-week contract to join our clients multidisciplinary team in Regional Southern NSW . You will provide comprehensive Speech Pathology services across a variety of clinical areas with an acute adult caseload

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Services: Deliver patient-centered care through assessment, goal setting, treatment planning, and implementation. Provide advice and education to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Professional Standards: Ensure care delivery is within professional, organisational, legal, and ethical boundaries, reflecting evidence-based practice
  • Assessment & Treatment: Diagnose and manage patients within your scope of practice. Select and implement appropriate assessment, intervention, and treatment strategies, evaluate treatment outcomes, and adjust plans as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively to optimize patient outcomes, ensuring safe and timely discharge. Communicate effectively and respectfully with all stakeholders, embracing cultural diversity.
  • Documentation & Supervision: Maintain comprehensive documentation of care, including progress notes and care plans. Supervise Allied Health Assistants and undergraduate students, contributing to the development of the team.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional growth, including mandatory training and participation in evidence-based practice activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Speech Pathology Bachelor's or Masters Degree required
  • Current SPA registration
  • Proven experience in delivering speech pathology services across an adult caseload, preferably within a hospital setting
  • Ability to work independently and seek supervision as needed
  • Valid Drivers license
  • Australian Working Rights - Working Holiday Visa's Welcome!
