Your New Role:
As the Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the precast facility, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing up to 40 precast workers across production, housekeeping, logistics, quality, stock control, and safety.
- Overseeing all factory operations, including reinforcement, concrete preparation, placement, finishing, and final product quality checks.
- Planning and allocating daily production tasks, determining labour distribution across different production stages.
- Ensuring quality assurance throughout the pre-pour and post-pour stages.
- Effectively delegating tasks and providing training and guidance to team members.
- Enforcing workplace discipline and managing factory staff as required.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and efficient production workflows.
- Ensuring strict compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations.
- Conducting daily pre-start toolbox meetings.
- Reporting daily progress to the Production Manager.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 4–5 years of proven precast experience would be an advantage; however, the company is happy to consider candidates from different backgrounds.
- Strong ability to interpret engineering plans.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Exceptional leadership and management abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays when required.
- Competitive salary based on experience - Earn between $45 - $50 p/h plus penalty rates !
