EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Public Accounts & Estimates Committee
- Ongoing full-time opportunity
- PoV Grade 6.1, $130,673 - $152,772 + 11.5% superannuation
We are looking for an Executive Officer to lead the Public Accounts and Estimates Committee secretariat. You will be passionate about leading a team to support the Committee's work in overseeing and scrutinising public administration, public sector finances, integrity bodies and the Victorian Budget. You will be a manager who leads an expert team and provides authoritative policy and procedural advice to Members of Parliament and senior government and non-government officials.
About the role
Reporting to the Assistant Clerk Committees, you will support the Public Accounts and Estimates Committee to ensure the Committee's statutory functions are fulfilled. You will guide and lead a team of experienced analysts, researchers and administrative staff ensuring the effective management of inquiries on complex policy issues, resulting in succinct and well-written Committee reports to Parliament. The Committee's current program includes inquiries into the Victorian Budget and fraud and corruption control in local government.
About you
An influential leader, you will have excellent communication, negotiation and liaison skills as well as demonstrated experience in the design and direction of projects. Your track record of success in the provision of authoritative advice on policy, research and procedural matters will be key to your ability to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships to strategically inform and influence the work of the Committee.
