The Team:

Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania’s largest hospital, and the Medical Imaging Department within the RHH is the tertiary referral centre for all Medical Imaging requests and Interventional procedures n Tasmania. As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

The Role:

  • Delivering patient care
  • Patient Bookings
  • Audio typing
  • Answering phones

You will need

  1. Experience in medical reception for a medical imaging service and sound knowledge of medical and radiological terminology.
  2. High level communication skills with the ability to deal with professional staff, patients and the public at all levels with tact and diplomacy.
  3. High degree of problem-solving skills with the capacity to prioritise tasks and organise workload within a busy environment.

Details of appointment:

Permanent part time, day worker position, working 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
