About the role
Temporary opportunity to deliver advanced physiotherapy clinical services and professional leadership / coordination across primarily inpatients, however, assisting the CF HP5 outpatient co-ordinator, of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre and the wider thoracic physiotherapy team as a key component of the tertiary and quaternary Thoracic Program. The role will provide support and mentorship for staff working with complex thoracic patients which may include but not limited to non-CF bronchiectasis, and other complex respiratory patients.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Utilise a strong clinical background in all core areas of physiotherapy and an advanced level of clinical knowledge skill and expertise in Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy. These skills will be specific to predominantly the physiotherapy management of cystic fibrosis, and also include non-CF bronchiectasis, complex respiratory conditions, and on occasion, respiratory neuromuscular disease management.
- Provide autonomous, advanced level physiotherapy assessment and patient management, exercising professional judgement and critical clinical reasoning skills supporting novel solutions to new or existing complex caseload within a tertiary and quaternary thoracic program and adult cystic fibrosis centre.
- Contribute to, lead, and support the Physiotherapy Clinical Leader (Thoracic Medicine) and the wider Cystic Fibrosis team in the development and governance of clinical practices, procedures and protocols that support the continuum of care with reference to best practice and clinical evidence.
