Description:
The State Intelligence Group’s primary role is to provide the Queensland Police Service with relevant, timely and accurate intelligence to strategic and frontline decisionmakers to enable them to apply police officers and other resources at the right place and time to stop crime and make the community safe.
As part of this role, you will establish partnerships with Regional and Command based clients including the Crime and Intelligence Command and Regional Intelligence networks to identify operational issues and provide intelligence advice to senior Queensland Police Service managers.

Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
• Identify, research, analyse and develop strategic intelligence options and advice on major crime and community safety issues.
• Prepare timely and well-researched submissions, briefs, notes and correspondence on behalf of Queensland Police Service managers
• Represent the Intelligence Capability as requested at inter-departmental and inter-governmental meetings.
• Work collaboratively across the intelligence capability and with other government and non-government agencies and individuals.
• Lead and facilitate intelligence capability, coordination, collaboration and industry engagement to achieve sound intelligence related outcomes.
• Facilitate the provision of accurate, evidence-based information and education on strategic intelligence issues and effective intelligence processes to all key stakeholders.

• The successful applicant will be required to perform duty at any business location where intelligence capability is required.
• The successful applicant/s must undertake intelligence training delivered by the Queensland Police Service in line with current policy.
• The successful applicant/s will be required to undergo psychometric assessment prior to appointment.
• Applicants are advised that whilst performing the duties of the position they may be exposed to material (written, visual and audio) of a graphic and sensitive nature.
• Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance to the minimum level of Negative Vetting Level 1.
• Shift work may be a requirement of this role.
