The Opportunity:
The Manager, Financial Governance & Control is responsible to ensure he accuracy of financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and adherence to Victorian Government financial policies and regulations, by establishing a robust financial governance framework. This position will also have the opportunity to work closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide innovative and sustainable solutions to the finance team!
- Ensure VHBA adheres to financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements, and policies
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of internal policies to mitigate financial and fraud risks, while fostering a culture of robust financial governance
- You will also have the opportunity to be a senior leader within the Finance team to influence and drive best practices for the team
We are looking for:
- Experience identifying common issues among stakeholders and leverages past experience to establish mutually beneficial partnerships; identifies and addresses stakeholders' underlying needs
- Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB), IFRS, and Victorian Government financial compliance requirements
- Ability to deliver tangible business outcomes as a result of critically evaluating problems from multiple perspectives and delivering effective solutions
