Position Vacant: 2IC (Second in Charge) – Restaurant

Are you passionate about the food and hospitality industry? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a natural flair for leadership? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced 2IC (Second in Charge) to join our dynamic team at Andie’s Restaurant Thirroul.

About the Role: As the 2IC, you will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. You will lead by example, assisting in managing staff, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring the smooth running of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant Manager with the day-to-day operations of the restaurant
• Lead, train, and support a dedicated team of front-of-house and back-of-house staff
• Monitor and maintain high levels of customer service and satisfaction
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional manner
• Assist with stock management, ordering, and inventory control
• Ensure health and safety standards, including hygiene practices, are adhered to
• Step in as the Acting Manager when required
  
  

Key Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the restaurant industry
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
• Passionate about delivering excellent customer service
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
• Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Previous experience with POS systems is a plus
