About The Role
The Finance Assistant will support the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Executive team in managing the financial operations and reporting requirements of the organisation. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budget management. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities Include
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and audits.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Provide administrative and reporting support to the executive team as needed.
- Participate in financial analysis and special projects as assigned.
- A Bachelor’s degree or relative experience in Finance, Accounting, Administration, or a related field is preferred (although students studying in this field will be considered)
- Minimum of 2 years in a finance, accounting or administration role.
- Proficiency in accounting software – Xero.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
