About Us: One Tree Defence Unit Puckapunyal located near Seymour in Regional Victoria, is committed to providing an enriching and nurturing environment where children thrive. We adhere to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), focusing on delivering high-quality educational programs that foster holistic development.
We have placements for 86 children across our long day care. We have several rooms including pre kinder, nursery, toddler room, preschool and outside of school hours care. Our operating hours are 7 am to 6 pm.
Our Before and After school care program runs from 7.00am to 9.00am and 3.00pm to 6.00pm during school terms and a holiday program from 7.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday.
You will work with all ages from 0 - 12 years old.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for children.
- Support the Centre Manager in implementing policies, procedures, and curriculum.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure adherence to the National Quality Standard (NQS) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Demonstrate confidence in your abilities to lead and inspire a team.
- Actively participate in team building and professional development initiatives.
- Mentor and coach colleagues to build their confidence, skills and knowledge, whilst continuing to grow creativity and innovation to embed a culture of continuous quality improvement.
- Build a culture of professional inquiry with staff to develop professional knowledge and to critically reflect on their pedagogy and practice.
- Lead the pedagogy and practice of the educational program and assessment and planning cycle to drive and enhance educational outcomes for all children.
- Required to be a Responsible Person.
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education
- Current WWCC
- National Police Clearance
- Current First Aid Qualification
- You will have a bright personality and good energy.
- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Standard (NQS) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Proven ability to build and lead a cohesive team.
- Capacity to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
