The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage and execute ad hoc logistics movements. In this role, you will work closely with customer stakeholders, service providers, and internal teams to ensure seamless coordination of complex, time-sensitive, and high-priority logistics requirements. You will be responsible for the successful end-to-end execution of project-based movements; you will understand the scope, liaise with suitable vendors, monitor progress, and problem-solve on the fly, all while maintaining strong customer-oriented stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics Coordination – Manage the completion of ad hoc logistics movements, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and minimal disruption to operations.
Customer-Oriented Stakeholder Engagement – Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams, clients, and third-party providers to coordinate time-sensitive logistics while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Requirements Scoping & Quotation Gathering – Work with customers and suppliers to define project requirements, source pricing, and prepare cost estimates for logistics movements.
Problem-Solving – Quickly assess challenges, troubleshoot unexpected issues, and implement real-time solutions to keep logistics on track.
Process Optimisation – Identify inefficiencies in logistics operations and contribute to improving workflows, documentation, and reporting.
Compliance & Risk Management – Ensure all logistics activities adhere to relevant regulations and company policies.
Data & Reporting – Maintain accurate records of logistics movements, analyse data for continuous improvement, and report on key performance metrics.
About You
We are looking for someone who genuinely cares about achieving results for customers and takes proactive ownership of every job through to completion. You thrive on seeing tasks through and ensuring a seamless experience for all stakeholders.
Experience: 2+ years in a transport, operations, logistics, or supply chain coordination role, ideally in a fast-paced or service-driven environment.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to think on your feet, troubleshoot issues, proactively seek help from colleagues, and take ownership of outcomes.
Attention to Detail: Highly organised with excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using logistics management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Flexibility & Initiative: Thrives in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same, and is eager to take on new challenges.
