Description:
- Deliver accurate and timely monthly Financial and Operational Reporting (General Ledgers; P&Ls; Balance sheets) for the assigned Companies and Business Areas / Divisions
- Responsible for Internal Recharges and Intercompany Reconciliations
- Assist Operations and business divisions with day-to-day queries, reporting and system requirements and ensuring best practice is followed
- Understand key drivers of the business and assist with analysing trends and comparing actual results to budget and forecast.
- Work with the Senior Financial Accountant and other Finance team members to deliver work tasks, project and process improvements as required
- Provide information to assist with daily Cash Control and Cash Flow Management
- Provide information and enable the preparation, reconciliation and filing of indirect tax returns including GST and FBT
- Support the business to manage annual external audit
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting with CA/CPA qualification
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in a large business / organisation
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, standards and processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups)
- Excellent attention to detail and an eye for process improvement
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in Peoplesoft (desirable) or similar ERP accounting systems
