Description
- Operate crane and gantry systems to load and unload scrap metal into trucks.
- Carry out dogging work to safely direct crane operations and ensure safe lifting of materials.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and workplace regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure all equipment, including cranes and forklifts, are operated in accordance with industry standards.
- Move and handle scrap metal efficiently while maintaining productivity.
- Keep work area clean and organised.
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow instructions accurately and assist in other tasks as required.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and up skill over time.
Profile
- Previous experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments is essential.
- Must have a valid Crane License/Bridging Gantry License (CB Class).
- A valid Dogging License (HRW) is required.
- Forklift license preferred but not essential.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
- Strong focus on safety and following protocols.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Open to further training and upskilling over time.
