Amazon Retail’s Inbound Vendor Excellence (IVX) team is looking for an analytical Instock Manager with a passion for driving scalable supply chain improvements. This role is critical in enabling the best customer experience by ensuring that Amazon has the right products, in the right place, at the right time.

You'll manage the improvement of Amazon’s operational performance and growth, where improvement is defined as defect reduction, cost savings, time savings, increased quality and higher customer satisfaction. Your stakeholders include our external suppliers, our internal customers, and your team members. The ability to effectively prioritise and multi-task is a must, together with program management skills and sharp attention to detail.

Effective communication skills are crucial, as you'll be working with some of Amazon Australia's most important partners and vendors, as well as with internal colleagues and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for retail and a high level of flexibility and commitment.

Key job responsibilities
- Managing operational performance and strategy of our partners, and the impact to the P&L.
- Building and owning supply chain relationships with some of Australia's largest retail vendors.
- Driving key operational performance indicators, finding ways to work at scale across the wider vendor base.
- Influencing a wide variety of internal stakeholders, using effective communication and interpersonal skills to encourage other teams to support IVX priorities and deliver results.
- Managing projects and programs that deliver cost efficiencies, directly helping our customers to access a broader selection with faster delivery promises.
- Visiting vendor and other Amazon sites across AU when required.

A day in the life
You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse supply chain data, develop improvement strategies, and nurture vendor relationships. You'll participate in regular meetings with key stakeholders, review performance metrics, and identify opportunities for process enhancement. Your work will directly contribute to improving customer experience through better product availability.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of supply chain, inventory management or project management experience
- 3+ years of with Excel experience
- Experience managing and executing large projects from start to finish, including project management, data gathering and modeling, problem solving, and communicating recommendations
- Experience with SQL
- Experience working with complex data sets
- Bachelor's degree- Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
