About The Role
Are you a researcher/ learning designer who is enthusiastic about developing and creating online professional development resources to support bullying prevention in Australian schools?
As the Principal Project Officer, you will lead the development of research projects and professional development resources for school staff across Australia. You will liaise with subject matter experts and national stakeholders to provide strategic advice, develop training materials and ensure successful project delivery.
Your Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To
- Manage project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, including detailed scheduling, preparation of project documentation, monitoring resource allocation and evaluating program effectiveness.
- Analyse research and data to inform the development of evidence-informed resources that suit the diverse needs across Australian jurisdictions.
- Create new professional development resources to help Australian principals, teachers and other school staff to understand evidence-informed bullying prevention strategies and effectively respond to student bullying incidents.
- Provide strategic advice on the best-practice approach for modern and accessible adult learning experiences.
- Actively collaborate with the stakeholders and liaise with multiple subject matter experts to develop content that is aligned to continuing professional development requirements for teacher registration and other industry associations.
- Perform specific tasks and engage in ad hoc activities contributing to broader departmental goals.
To succeed in this role, you will possess and can demonstrate the following key attributes:
- Demonstrated proficiency in overseeing projects, with exceptional skills in time management to ensure deliverables are on time and within budget.
- Research skills to analyse current evidence-informed approaches to preventing and responding to bullying.
- Expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design, specifically with a strong background in using programs such as Articulate Rise 360, to develop engaging and effective online training courses.
- Adept at building and sustaining strategic relationships with subject matter experts, and stakeholders, providing best-practice advice, ensuring cooperative and productive interactions, and ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts as they arise.
- Excellent self-management capabilities, coupled with a proactive stance on identifying and addressing both development and technical issues as they arise.
